About Elkin Goaltending
Modern Day Hockey Goalie Training
In 1984, Jon Elkin started his hockey goalie school at 16 years of age as a part-time venture in Montreal, Quebec where he grew up. He moved to Toronto 15 years ago to operate the school full-time. Since then the school has grown into the largest hockey goalie school in the world. It operates year-round seven days per week including ten straight weeks of summer goalie hockey training where students congregate from all over the world to learn modern day hockey goalie tips and techniques.
Extensive Hockey Goalie Experience
Jon Elkin has coached hockey at all levels. He was the Calgary Flames (NHL) hockey goalie coach for three seasons and has been the goalie coach for hockey teams in the AHL, WHL, QMJHL and OHL, all top feeder systems to the NHL. Since leaving the Flames, Jon has been the goalie consultant for an unprecedented sixteen OHL hockey teams. He also works privately with his own NHL goalies and NHL goaltending prospects and consults for a number of player agents. He has coached 16 NHL goalies.
Testimonial
"This quality goalie school exceeded our expectations. On-ice instruction was upbeat, high energy and involved. Instructors clearly enjoyed helping goaltenders get better by developing and refining details of their game using relevant drills. My son finished the program with goaltending fundamentals in place. Outstanding."
