Chris Carrozzi (17) is in his second season with the Mississauga St. Michaels Majors (OHL). Chris is a top-rated prospect for the 2008 NHL draft. The Ottawa native has represented Ontario in the U17 tournament.
Here is his entry:
-wake-up at 10:00am
-eat peanut butter toast and drink 500ml of water
-watch hockey highlights
-eat 2 eggs over easy
-drink 500ml of water
-Nap for 2 hours (usually from 1 to 3pm)
- watch video on youtube of favorite goalies and look at how they play
-drink 500 ml of water
- eat 2 bananas with 2 slices of toast
-get to the arena tape my game stick
- juggle 3 pucks for however long I need to get focused
- team warm up
- before I go on the ice I visualize and look over the five things I've written on a small piece of paper:
1) Calm
2) Anticipate
3) Challenge
4) Patient
5) Square to the puck not the shooter
Then when I go on the ice I look at the ice and visualize myself again making saves until the puck is finally dropped.
As far as superstitions, during the game before each puck is dropped I tap my left post then right post then cross bar with my stick and get ready in my stance.
