Justin Peters continued fulfilling his NHL dream by beating the storied Toronto Maple Leafs in his home province in front of roughly 30 family and friends. "Petey" a native of Blyth, Ontario was excellent making 32 stops. Carolina won the match 5-1 with Justin earning the game's First Star.
Peters was sharp all night setting the tone early with a huge glove save on a shot from the slot midway through the first period. The only goal to beat him was a broken play that deflected to an open man at the side of the net.
The win improves his NHL record to 3-0 with a 1.34 GAA and a .957 save percentage.
