Two Jon Elkin Goalie Schools students earned shutouts in Friday night's OHL action. Brian Pitton of the Brampton Battalion got his fourth shutout of the season in a 5-0 victory over the Erie Otters. The win sealed the Division title for the Battalion. He shares the league shutout lead with three other goalies, including another Elkin Goaltending pupil, Chris Carrozzi. The 19 year old native of Brampton, Ontario is an Edmonton Oilers' draft pick.
Trevor Cann of the Peterborough Petes was also perfect last night in a 2-0 win over the Ottawa 67s. He made 30 saves for his second shutout of the season and was named the game's first star. The victory keeps Peterborough in a position to possibly take over the seventh spot in the Conference from the 67s going into the last game of the regular season this Sunday.
