Trevor Cann learned that he had been traded when leaving the ice last night after another solid night in goal for the Peterborough Petes. He made 46 out of 48 saves and was traded to the London Knights a team in contention to make a solid run at an OHL Championship.
Cann, one of the most sought after goalies in the OHL, is a Colorado Avalanche second round draft pick. He went to the Memorial Cup as an underage rookie but has not tasted post-season success over the last two OHL campaigns.
After last night's game he ranked 3rd in league save percentage at .926. He averaged the most shots per game (38) of any goalie in the OHL with the exception of his netminding partner, Jason Missiaen. "Mish", a Montreal Canadiens draft pick has been passed the reigns and is now in a position to be a first-string netminder for the first time in his young OHL career.
