Greico Stellar in First OHL Game

Long-time student, Anthony Greico, left the University of North Dakota this past week to join the Mississauga St. Mikes Majors of the OHL. The 18 year old was extremely good earning "First Star" in a 3-2 OT win against a strong Windsor Spitfires team.

Greico made 40 saves in the game. Positionally sound all night, Anthony made many of the point-blank attempts look easy.

Carrozzi Off to Fine Start

St. Michaels Majors' 17 year old Chris Carrozzi is off to a strong start in his draft year. He ranks in the top 5 OHL goalies in save percentage at .926 and sports a solid 2.29 GAA.

Smith Bounces Back for Stars

Mike Smith redeemed himself for a sub-par performance in his opening game loss to the Nashville Predators. Out for a week with an arm injury suffered in practice, Smith got his second start of the season tonight.

Smitty was solid stopping 33 of 35 shots including all three in the shootout helping Dallas to a 3-2 shootout victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Missiaen Earns Shutout

Peterborough Petes' young goaltender Jason Missiaen earned a shutout in his first OHL game this season stopping 37 shots.

The 17 year old played last season as an underager in the league. He is eligible for the 2008 NHL draft in June.
