Chiodo Loses in Austrian Final
Andy Chiodo and his KAC team went down in defeat Sunday in the Austrian Pro Hockey League final. It was the second time in two seasons that they lost in the final round. Chiodo was brilliant throughout the playoffs. He knocked off the favorites, Red Bull, who's goalie was Marty Turco. As soon as Turco lost out to Chiodo's team, he signed with the Boston Bruins.
A Toronto native, Andy has experienced considerable success thus far. He was an OHL All Star and Goalie of the Year with the St. Michaels Majors. As a 20 year old, he played 8 games for the Pittsburgh Penguins and guided their AHL squad to the league finals. Chiodo has also played in Russia's top league as well as Finlands.
