Pete Dawg Stops an Avalanche
Justin Peters was stellar for the 4th game in a row Tuesday night showing why no one should count this young man out as a legitimate NHL goalkeeper. He made 33 saves in a 2-1 Carolina Hurricanes win over the high flying Colorado Avalanche.
Since being recalled from the AHL on October 24th due to an injured Cam Ward, he has started nine straight games. Peters got off to a rough start losing his first five games. Since then he has had a 3-0-1 run, helping the team climb back into playoff contention with a .500 record. Petey was named the first star in three of the four games. His GAA has dropped to 2.34 and his save percentage climbed to a solid .922.
