Peters Amazing in Win Over Sharks

Justin Peters put up an incredible performance Friday night making 35 saves in a 3-2 win over the San Jose Sharks. He was awarded the third star of the game.

The big story was that another goalie besides Cam Ward got the start in net. "Petey" has been buying his time working hard in practice and waiting for the opportunity to get between the pipes. It was Justin's first start since January 7th and only his third of the season. It's tough to play behind one of the best goalies in the league, but Justin is probably the hardest working athlete in the NHL. Keeping sharp in practice paid off last night as he kept a high flying Sharks team at bay. Peters was exceptional in the third period, stopping the last 13 shots including a couple in the last minute of the game that were sure goals.
