Calgary Flames prospect, David Shantz, showed why he's climbed the goaltending depth chart in the Flames organization last night by posting a shutout in a 2-0 game 7 victory over the Rochester Amerks. He made 24 saves, was named the First Star of the match and the 2nd Star of the AHL.
The Abbotsford Heat enter round two of the American Hockey League playoffs Thursday in Shantz's home town of Hamilton, Ontario where they will face the Montreal Canadiens' AHL squad.
