Mike Smith played a solid game Tuesday, but it wasn't enough to defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins. He stopped 21 of 22 shots, losing his shutout bid with 2:47 remaining in the game on a Sidney Crosby feed across the crease to a wide open player. Mike was good early in the game in keeping the game scoreless. Of the first ten shots, three were breakaways. Of the three breakaways, Mike stopped Malkin and Crosby and thwarted a penalty shot. He was named 2nd star of the match.
